Remote Access to Perfect Practice Files.

Need access to your Perfect Practice database when you're away from the office? If your office computer is running Windows XP Professional or your network is running Windows Server 2000 or above, you may already own all the tools you need to connect remotely to Perfect Practice via the internet from anywhere in the world.

 

With the Windows Remote Desktop, you can remotely control your computer from another office, from home, or while traveling. All you need is a mobile device or computer running Remote Desktop Connection Client and an internet connection. Desktop client software can be downloaded free from Microsoft for any version of Windows ( 95 or above), Pocket PC or even Mac OS. There is even desktop client software available for Palm devices, though viewing a full Windows desktop on a tiny PDA screen does require a bit of patience.

Access case files on the roadText Box: The Quick Menu feature allows each user to have direct access to the program(s) he or she accesses most frequently.  The administrator can select from a system wide list of programs to create a "custom" menu for each user.  The custom menu, also called "Quick Menu" is accessed from the left-hand toolbar.  Clicking the desired item will route the user directly to the program, bypassing the normal menu navigation steps. Quick Menu will be accessible from Perfect Practice® Financials on the left-hand toolbar.  Based on the Quick Menu programs setup to appear for an operator, a customized menu bar will appear on the left portion of screen. Clicking any one of the program buttons will route the user to the specified program or entry screen.  Closing the selected screen will return the user to the original starting point. The feature buttons that normally appear on the screen, from which Quick Menu was accessed, will be temporarily hidden from view.  To de-activate Quick Menu and restore the standard feature button, click the Main button on the top left-hand portion of screen.
